  • The Initial D Third Stage: The Movie DVD and VCT will be released for sale this 29th. In commemoration with the release, a special Initial D Festival in Tsukuba Circuit, Ibaraki will be held that day at 10:00 a.m. Events scheduled for the day include an appearance by Keiichi Tsuchiya, a driver talk show, a drifting contest, demo car battle and other live events.

  • Changed the main layout. The rest of the site is still in black though. ^_^;
  • The official release date for the Initial D Third Stage DVD and tape is set for August 29th. The DVD will cost 10,000 yen, while the tape will cost 8,600 yen.

    The first press editions of both the DVD and tape will have extras; it will be packaged as a special 2-DVD/tape box which includes a special disc/tape that contains the making of the movie, the movie trailer etc., and a special booklet.

  • Also - you do not save a page in here, stuff it in your own website, change the links to point to yours and then claim it's your own. Go write your own code.

  • On sale on 27th July; a regular edition of the Young Magazine Special Edition: Shuichi Shigeno Artwork for 2,800 yen. The contents include illustrations of covers and posters, a long interview with the author, goods catalogue, a title page collection, original goods catalogue and the author's commentaries and explanations on the races and various other points in the series.

  • Updated Music section with track listings of the Gamble Rumble single and the Initial D The Movie Of Super Eurobeat CDs. Lyrics and MP3s will be up later since I'm too lazy to do it now.
  • And speaking of the movie... I won't go into too much detail (since I am sick of a certain few who just copy and paste my comments into their own sites). As most fans will know, the movie does not follow the events in the manga exactly. As for the animation itself, the CG sequences of the racing battle scenes are just gorgeous - especially in the snow battle scene. *_* The character designs - let's just say some of the characters look much better in the movie, but some - ugh! The soundtrack is pretty much what you expect - fast and furious (although with silly lyrics ^_-), and they suit the movie rather well.

    And before you ask - no, I can't copy tapes.
  • Also... anyone there kind enough to e-mail me track listings of the drama CDs? ^^;; (And the Red Suns album, if anyone has that) If you can't read the Japanese text, just send me scans of the track list and I will romanize them myself. (Please scan them in a reasonable size, as squinting at tiny kanji is not a good thing m(__)m)
