: useless crap :

Amaru-kun is a 24-year-old anime and autosport fan who makes winamp skins whenever he can't get any sleep, which is quite often. He holds an LL.B and is doing nothing with it, but is still very happy with his present work since he gets to travel.

: current layout :

This layout features Avalon, a movie by Oshii Mamoru. And yes, I've seen it, and had a headache trying to follow the storyline. Polish language + Japanese subtitles + Amaru-kun speaks dodgy Japanese = headache.

And yes, I am working on new skins.... <_<;

And here's an open letter from Tokyopop to Ini-D fans...

I don't think reading that would calm anyone down, it would probably make people angrier. >_>

My backpack was falling apart and I haven't had time to get a new one, so my boss just walked into my office yesterday morning and gave me a new one. He said he was getting annoyed seeing me coming into work with "that awful thing" so he got me a new backpack as a gift.

It looks like a parachute harness. I wonder if that's supposed to be a hint or something? ^_^;

A report on the Tokyopop panel at Anime Expo 2002 - scroll down and you'll find something on the name changes in Ini-D.

Well hase, you were right when you said that you had a feeling that Tokyopop's going to butcher Initial D. >_>

I got the Tokyopop version some time ago and managed to read only a bit before I decided that poking my finger into my eye, into my brain and swirling it around would be much more pleasant. *shudder* Dear god, no wonder a lot of people wrote to me and complained about the Tokyopop release.

Now Tokyopop has decided to change the names of the characters. x_x

Tak (original name Takumi)
Iggy (original name Itsuki)
Cole (original name Kouichirou)
Natalie (original name Natsuki)
Boss (original name Yuuichi)
Ry (original name Ryousuke)
K.T. (original name Keisuke)
Zack (original name Takeshi)
Maya (original name Mako)
Simone (original name Sayuki)
Kyle (original name Kyouichi)
Hawk (original name Seiji)
Aki (original name Wataru)
Carrie (original name Kazumi)

Are you twitching yet? I know I am. Heck, I know I'm not affected by this much, since I'm not dependent on any translations (yay for being multi-lingual!), but still...

Tak? Iggy? Kyle? Carrie? Aki?! >_<#

(Okay, all those names are downright horrid, not just those five. Can't help thinking of Stephen King for obvious reasons, while Aki makes me want to smash something since that's the name of a Mary Sue in a fanfic I was ranting about some months ago)

There's a petition about this if anyone else is interested.

*kicks Ryuu-kun* And where the hell are you? The World Cup's over! >_<
