The proprieter of the gas station where Takumi, Itsuki and Iketani work, Yuuichi is an old friend of Bunta and is the first one to suspect that Takumi was not totally ignorant about cars like the others thought, as seen in the scene where they discuss the drifting technique.
Yuuichi gives out advice and explains on driving techniques and cars to the Speed Stars a lot; he seems to be very fond of the team members.
