All right, this is not strictly a driving manga. It's more like Jikembo of Young Kindaichi, but with cars. Lots and lots of cars.The main character of this manga series is Rinichirou Tamaki. Rinichirou is an accident appraiser (?) and he figures out what really happened in accidents and police cases concerning cars. Rinichirou's work takes him to a lot of different places in America; the manga features plenty of European and American cars. The amount and variety of cars featured in this series is amazing - there are over fifteen different cars featured in the first volume of the manga, such as Caterham Super Seven, Lancia Delta Integrale, Mercedes-Benz AMG 50, Ferrari F355, Alfa Romeo 155, Opel Corsa and Chevrolet Camaro. Unfortunately there's not much actual driving in the series, and what little driving takes place usually ends up with the cars getting involved in rather spectacular accidents. ^^; However, this manga series is still worth a look if you're interested in car eye candy. (and yes, I know the English title of the manga sounds silly) |
